ABOUT
Christopher Beaton is a director and screenwriter, with a Masters Degree from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. Darkly comedic, dramatic and irreverent, his work spans multiple genres with keen attention to character.
An alumnus of USC’s School of Dramatic Arts, he started in front of the camera, before utilizing his acting training and becoming a director. He has since produced a number of short films, including his MFA thesis film, NUMB, which won Best Dramatic Short in the First Look Industry Awards (2021). He was a co-director on the USC Originals feature, VOODOO MACBETH, which screened at festivals all over the country including the Heartland International Film Festival and Cleveland International Film Festival. And picked up domestic distribution (theatrical premiere, OCT '22).
His feature script, THE BALLAD OF ELLA & DEAN was a finalist in the Page Screenwriting Awards. He is currently developing a number of projects while putting together the team and funds for his feature, FLESH & BONE.
As a filmmaker, he strives to tell stories that meet along crossroads of drama and comedy, that test systems of power with an aim to entertain.
